We keep many reading lists at the library, but NoveList K-8 is also a great resource to browse titles to keep kids reading over the summer.Browse genres, search by reading level, check for books that read-alike to a current favorite, or just check to make sure the content of any given book is appropriate.Our librarians use this database all the time!
Summer is upon us, and summer set-back is on the minds of many parents and educators.We are here for you!Take a look at out or book lists, with great suggested reading for kids of all ages, or check out one of our new Youth Book Club Kits equipped with 10 copies of a book and discussion questions.In the Youth Room at the library, we have more complete lists with 101 titles for each grade level in addition to several genre-specific lists.Our Summer Reading Program also encourages reading when school isn’t in session.Happy reading!

Library Director Karen Kotulis-Carter recently announced her retirement, effective August 1, 2013. The Library Board of Trustees formed a Director Search Committee who was charged with overseeing the hiring process for a new library director.
The position of Bloomfield Township Public Library Director was posted widely with the Michigan Library Association and the American Library Association. On-site interviews with the top candidates have been scheduled for Monday, June 17, 2013.
Dig Beneath the Surface during our summer reading program for teens. Expore a subject you have always wanted to learn more about. Discover a new author or reading genre. Teens aged 13-18 may register to recieve reading lists and program information all summer long. Read at least three books and submit for review online for achance to win a Kindle eReader!
