National Library Week takes place from April 11 – 18, 2010 with the theme of "Communities Thrive @ Your Library. There are many ways to celebrate at Bloomfield Township Public Library, the heart of the community.
Calling all Bloomfield Township residents! Receive your new library card beginning April 12 at the Library’s Circulation Desk. New and improved, your library card entitles you to exclusive features such as accessing online resources, entering and using study rooms, debt card feature for prints and copies and more.
Join us for an Evening on the Prairie on Thursday, April 15 at 6:30pm. Glen Morningstar as Pa Ingalls recreates the world of Laura Ingalls Wilder and her family. Enjoy singing, dancing, craft projects and more.
Learn more about Laura Ingalls Wilder by viewing a special exhibit of her letters, photos, manuscripts and books on display at the Library. This exhibit was made possible through the generosity of the Friends of Bloomfield Township Public Library and courtesy of the Detroit Public Library.
Be a Star Reader at the Library. During National Library Week – April 12 – 17 – have your photo taken with your favorite book in the Youth Services Department. Your name will be entered into a special drawing AND twenty lucky star readers will be featured on READ posters displayed monthly at the Library.
