Check This Out…American Girls
Felicity, from her home in Williamsburg, saw the impulse for independence begin to grow. Addy, was born into slavery and escaped with her family to freedom in Philadelphia. Pioneer Kirsten travelled with her family from Sweden to Minnesota. These are three of the American Girls, characters in a series of historical fiction that has been popular with generations of girls.
New characters highlighting various times and places throughout American history have been added over the years; we will welcome the newest American Girls, Caroline and Cecile, with book discussions in the new year. The celebrations begins with an American Girl Tea Party on December 27 for ages 7 and up. Registration opens November 26. Click here to see our calendar of events.
