Summer Reading Lists for Back to School
We know that as summer winds down more and more students will be looking for the books on their school reading lists. If the title you are looking for is not on the shelf, do not forget to check the library catalog to see if it is available in eBook format. We offer a variety of books that can be read on a PC or tablet.

Meet the Librarian: Miss Amy
My name is Amy Young and I have been a Youth Librarian at Bloomfield Township Public Library for three years. My favorite part of being a librarian is planning programs for young patrons to enjoy. I also like selecting new books for the youth department. I choose titles for the eBook, Biography, Holiday, and World Languages Collections. In April, I had my first child, a little girl. My husband and I are thrilled to be parents and love watching our daughter grow up! I also have a dog named Tuxedo and a cat named Jester. In my free time I enjoy reading, hosting game nights at our home, and traveling.
Miss Amy Recommends…
Here are some of my favorite titles.
Chick ‘N’ Pug by Jennifer Sattler (E SAT) is a charming and funny picture book. Chick sets off to find his hero, Super Pug, and add a little adventure to his own life. Readers soon learn that adventure finds Chick no matter where he goes!
The Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling (J FICTION ROW) is an epic tale that follows a young wizard through his adventures at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This magical tale of good vs. evil is loved by children and adults alike.
