Want to get involveed and make a difference in your community? The library offers several opportunities for students to volunteer and earn community services hours. Become a homework coach to middle school students, help plan programs and select materials for the library as a Teen Advisory Board Member, or help out by shelving materials and doing special projects around the librayr . For more information, come to our Teen Volunteer Open Houses on Saturday, August 29 and Monday, August 31. Fill out the Volunteer Application and take your skills test. Homework Coaches, bring in two letter of recomendation.
Do you like the Twilight Series by Stephanie Myers? Check out P. C. Cast's House of Night series. Sixteen-year-old Zoey Redbird is Marked as a fledging vampyre and joins the House of Night where she will train to become an adult vampyre. Look for this series in the Teen Fiction sections of the library.
