Ann Patchett’s latest is a beautifully written, character-driven novel that tells the story of two blended families spanning five decades.  A shared kiss, fueled by gin and misguided hope for a better marriage, begins the tale of divorce and recoupling for the Keating and Cousins children. Forced together for long summers and linked primarily by their anger at their parents, we see their stories unfold over the years and we’re reminded that when it comes to family, things are almost always complicated.   Dana 4/14/2017
