Preschool Information Night will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Come and meet area preschool representatives and find out about various curricula, options and programs. Registration is not required; exhibitors must pre-register.
This program is jointly hosted by the Baldwin Public Library and Bloomfield Township Public Library.
Bloomfield Township Public Library is making a change to computer use at the Library.
On January 18, 2011, all computer users will need a library card that is active in our system to login for use of a computer. Those who live or work in Bloomfield Township will receive priority access to library computers and may use their BTPL card for unlimited computer use.
Residents from the service area of The Library Network (such as Franklin, West Bloomfield, Pontiac, Waterford, Birmingham, etc) may use their hometown library card. Please have your library card number entered into our system at the Circulation Desk. Daily guest passes will be available in the Computer Center for anyone who does not live in Bloomfield Township or in the service area of The Library Network.
Six computers in the Computer Center and two computers in the Youth area will be available for use by for those who live outside of Bloomfield Township. Nonresidents will be limited to two hours of computer use per day on select computers. All computers are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Computers may not be reserved.
In honor of its 50th anniversary, the Library is collecting photographs taken at the library over the years. These images will be used in the year-long anniversary celebration at the library, on the library’s website and social media pages, and in promotional pieces.

In October, 2014, Bloomfield Township Public Library will celebrate a milestone in its history — 50 years of serving the community! Since opening its doors on October 20, 1964, the library has become a cornerstone in Bloomfield Township.
The Library will be closed Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25 for the Christmas Holiday. The Library will reopen on Thursday, December 26 at 9:30a.m.
The Library will also close early on Tuesday, December 31 at 5:30p.m and remain close on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 for the New Years observance. The Library will reopen on Thursday, January 2 at 9:30a.m.
Join us as we kick off our yearlong 50th anniversary celebration on Saturday, January 25. A variety of family friendly activities will be available for everyone to enjoy. In honor of the library’s opening in 1964, our day-long celebration will have a 1960’s theme and is called “Feeling Groovy”.

You will need to fill out a release form before the library can use your story.
The Michigan Opera Theatre will be performing Little Red Riding Hood on Sunday, October 13 at 2pm at the Bloomfield Township Public Library. Enjoy live theatre for the entire family! These very talented performers of the Michigan Opera Theatre will delight children and adults alike with their live theatrical interpretation of the classic fairy tale, Little Red Riding Hood.
Everyone is welcome to this free program, part of Bloomfield Township's community open house. Registration is not required. We hope you can join us!
