From regal headpieces to director’s private notes, past brilliance inspires today’s inventiveness. This is especially so at the Stratford Festival. Come hear Liza Giffen, Director of Archives, and Nora Polley, now in her 55th season with the Festival and author of “Whenever You’re Ready,” a collection of stories from her years as a Festival Stage Manager. They will give insight into the heritage and intriguing stories that spur new creativity each season. You will learn how the Archives capture and preserve the creative process, see examples of the amazing crafts behind the scenes, and marvel at the talented artisans who create the magical illusions of theater.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Arrive early to view costumes and displays, sign up for the ticket giveaway, and enjoy complimentary refreshments.
Sponsored by the Michigan Members of the Stratford Festival.
