June 23 @ 9:00 am

H. H. Munro (1870-1916), better known by his pen name “Saki”, was a British writer considered to have perfected the art of the short story. Although Saki’s career included news articles and journalism as well as longer novels, his most famous writings are short fiction stories featuring themes of human absurdity, the struggle between man and nature, and commentaries on English society. Combining magical realism with clever, biting dialogue, “Laura” suggests the possibility of reincarnation after death—but what form will that reincarnation take?
