On Demand Video: Virtual Read-Aloud with Emily

October 14, 2021

A black-and-white image of the author reading is featured on the left, and a color image of the reader is on the right.

Robert Lee Frost (1874-1963) was an American poet well known for his depictions of rural lifestyles and his compelling usage of colloquial speech. Renowned for his craftsmanship and mastery of poetic language, Frost was awarded four Pulitzer Prizes for Poetry during his career, and a Congressional Gold Medal in 1960. One of his lesser-known poems, “The Fear” provides a sense of suspicion and mystery as a country couple investigate the sound of strange footsteps along their quiet lane.
