Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch by Niel Gaiman and Terry Pratchet
This fun, apocalyptic story (made into an Amazon Prime tv series in 2019) follows the adventures of Aziraphale, the Angel who wasn’t necessarily all good, and Crowley the demon who really wasn’t that bad of a guy as they search for the misplaced antichrist. Martin Jarvis is exceptional in capturing the voices of a host of madcap characters. Available on hoopla.

The Magician by Lev Grossman
Follow Quentin Coldwater, a brilliant math genius with a fascination for magical stories is unexpectedly admitted to a secretive and exclusive college of magic. A lot of people will compare this to Harry Potter, well, an adult version of Harry Potter with elements of the Chronicles of Narnia and they aren’t wrong, but the book is still an immersive, highly imaginative tale.  Mark Bramhall does a great job capturing the characters’ voices and story action. Available on Overdrive.
