ONE BY ONE / Ruth Ware

A small tech company goes on a ski retreat to discuss a company buyout and end up snowed in after an avalanche hits. This may not sound so bad — beautiful views, cozy fires, plenty of food with an amazing chef, and lots of company — but then people begin dying, one by one. Who can be trusted? How can they get out alive?

This psychological thriller was a slow build in the beginning but worth sticking with in the end. I found that the audiobook heightened the suspense as the story switched between the two narrators. Ruth Ware reliably offered up another enjoyable thriller, similar to In a Dark, Dark Wood.
