Twenty-five years ago, young Maggie’s parents moved their small family into Baneberry Hall, a large Victorian estate in the Vermont Woods. They spent three weeks there before fleeing in the night. The nonfiction account of their time in the house, written by Maggie’s father, became a worldwide best-seller.

Decades later, Maggie still finds herself fielding questions about the ghostly happenings and malevolent spirits her father wrote about in House of Horrors but, while she remembers nothing of what happened, she knows it’s all lies. Ghosts aren’t real and her father had to have made everything all up just to get a book published.

Maggie is now a restorer of old homes and, after inheriting Baneberry Hall following her father’s death, decides to return to renovate and prepare the place for sale. As Maggie experiences strange occurrences straight out of House of Horrors, she begins to wonder if it truly was more fact than fiction.     Shayna 7/1/2020
