Teens aged 13-18 are invited to participate in an immersive discussion of a selected teen book series. Expect fun games, roll-playing activities, trivia and more during the event. Refreshments will be provided. Dust off your Luna Lovegood sunglasses and dig out those Hogwart’s house scarves–the September club will be delving into the Harry Potter Universe. We will decide on our November club book series at the first meeting.
Thursday, September 21, 6-8 p.m.
Thursday, November 16, 6-8 p.m.
Registration is required and begins August 24.
Costumes are encouraged but not at all required.
Cosplay is the practice of dressing up as a character from a movie, book, comic book or video game. It originated with Japanese manga but is now a standard practice at many science fiction and fantasy conventions. You may have also heard of “Disney bounding” which is similar to cosplay, though here, one would dress in the style or manner of the movie or book, not necessarily as a specific character. We would encourage “book bounding” at our discussion as well.
