Get creative this summer with the BTPL Teen Craft Kits! Used in conjunction with the Creativebug database, teens will receive supplies and top-level video instruction on how to make at least 3 different craft projects.
Call the library (Adult Services) or email firstname.lastname@example.org to request your kit(s). Teen Craft kits are available for teens age 13-18 while supplies last. Creativebug is an online resource that offers video arts, crafts workshops and techniques. Bloomfield Township residents can sign up for a free account with a library card: Sign up.

MAKE A ROPE BRACELET – Kit available beginning Wednesday, July 29
Before you take off on your next beach vacation, whip up a batch of easy nautical rope bracelets. These tie-on bracelets are the perfect last-minute accessory and can be made in a snap with just a bit of rope, ribbon, leather cord and hot glue. Have fun mixing and matching your ribbon and rope to make unique pieces for all of your friends.
DAILY DRAWING CHALLENGE WITH BRUSH MARKERS – Kit available beginning Thursday, August 6
Go beyond drawing individual objects with our daily pattern motif drawing challenge. In this multi-part class, Courtney Cerruti shares easy ideas for approaching surface design, opening new avenues of imagination and creativity. From foods to animals to abstract geometric shapes, you’ll explore fun, loose variations on a different pattern motif every day for a month. When you’re all done, the index cards are the perfect size to mail to friends (or us!).
