Beginning to Read books are usually categorized by the publisher, using their guidelines so they can all be different.
We are labeling them with our own system so it’s less confusing! Here’s what to look for:
- A red label means very very easy. Very few words on a page. New readers want to start here.
- A yellow label means easy. There are sentences on a page. Lots of pictures and good for kids that still need some help.
- A green label means reading on your own. more complicated stories, smaller print, and less pictures.
- A blue label is for kids that are taking off! These books are easier than general chapter books, but many include short chapters.
