This novel based on the childhood friendship of the authors Truman Capote and Harper Lee takes readers to Depression-era Monroeville, Alabama, where friends Tru (Truman) and Nelle (Harper) search for mysteries in their small town. When a local drugstore is broken into, Tru and Nelle use their detective skills to search for the culprit. Along the way, they discover a lot more about their town than they had planned to.
