In this graphic novel, which is the second of the Real Friends series, Shannon begins 6th grade as one of the popular kids in “The Group” and shares a locker with the leader and her new best friend, “Jen.” Shannon tries to keep up with what is currently trendy among her friends but she soon finds that whenever she figures out how to act, the rules have changed. Her place within the group is not secure and she soon finds herself gossiping, unintentionally hurting other classmates, and having to change who she is in order for the “The Group” to like her instead of teasing her. Shannon soon begins to question whether or not “The Group” is a good fit for her. For ages 8-11.
