Trevor is a 12 year old World War II buff. He’s got posters, models, and every video game relating to the war. He’s also got a great-grandfather (his “G.G.”) who has a lot of stories about his time as a soldier around the time of D-Day. Trevor thinks the world of his G.G., and when the family is invited to a small village in France that wants to honor G.G. for his role in liberating the town during the war, Trevor couldn’t be prouder. There’s someone out there who doesn’t think G.G. is such a hero, though—and Trevor might just learn a few things about war, and how it’s much messier and more heartbreaking than any video game could ever show. Ages 9 and up.
