Can’t get to the Library? Let the library deliver books, movies, magazines, and music to you!
Who is eligible
This program delivers library materials to Bloomfield Township Public Library cardholders of all ages who:
- have limited mobility or
- are immunocompromised or
- have vulnerable household members
Residents of Bloomfield Township retirement homes, assisted-living facilities, and nursing homes are also eligible to use this service. Some restrictions apply.
How Library by Mail works
- Begin by contacting the library: call (248) 642-5800, email askadult@btpl.org (adults and teens) or askyouth@btpl.org (children), or stop by.
- You’ll complete a form indicating what kinds of library materials interest you.
- With your preferences in mind, library staff will select materials for you, bundle them into a sturdy zippered pouch, and send them to you via U.S. Postal Service.
- Within a week, your books or other materials arrive at your residence for you to enjoy.
- When you’re done with them, place them back in the labeled pouch for postal pickup.
You may discontinue this service at any time.
