Delsie lives with her grandmother in Cape Cod and every summer, her best friend Brandy stays at her family’s cottage. However this summer it becomes clear that Brandy and Delsie have grown apart. Brandy has a new best friend, Tressa, and the two of them are mean to Delsie. Meanwhile, Delsie’s two school best friends are involved in the local Annie production; Delsie has grown more curious about who her mother is and why she abandoned her; and Delsie meets Ronan, a quirky boy who has a love for sea creatures and is coping with abandonment as well. For 5th grade and up.
