Anna’s foster mother sends her to the seaside to stay with relatives in the hopes that her health condition will improve. In her exploration of this new place, Anna meets Marnie, who’s wearing an old-fashioned dress and claims to live in a big mansion that seems to be abandoned. Who is this mysterious new friend? This film is a recent creation from Studio Ghibli, and was a nominee for Best Animated Feature at the 88th Academy Awards. This film is rated PG.
