The Friends are accepting donations. Please bring your gently used books and media to the donation room on the west side of the building, just a short walk down the sidewalk to the staff and delivery entrances.

The Friends of the Bloomfield Township Public Library is a group of people who believe that any community is a better place to live if it has a first-rate library. The Friends have an active role in supporting and promoting the library.  This avid and enthusiastic group of volunteers dedicates their time, talent, and resources to raising funds to support the Library beyond its operating budget. As a 501(c) 3 organization, the Friends raise funds through their monthly Second Saturday sales, books, and media sales in the Library Shop, donations, and memberships to the Friends of the Bloomfield Township Public Library. Your purchases in the Library Shop and at our monthly sales have allowed the Friends to donate over $1.85 million dollars to support the Library beyond their operating budget.  Those extras include the artwork and sculptures that you see around the Library, the beautiful gardens, and much of the music, children’s, and special needs programs.  We also support additions to existing Library collections and enhancements to both Adult and Children’s programs.
