Photo Contest

This year’s theme invites photographers to capture the beauty of the tiny details all around us, whether it’s the intricate patterns of textures, the charm of miniature objects, or the smallest creatures that are often overlooked.

Photos may be submitted from January 12 – March 15. Winners will be announced at the Photo Contest Reception on Saturday, April 18, 2026!

All ages may enter. Entries will be grouped into three age categories (12 and younger; 13-18; and 19 and older). The deadline to enter photos is March 15, 2026, at midnight.

Contest Rules

  1. The contest is open to amateur photographers only. A professional photographer is defined as an individual who earns more than 50 percent of their income from photographic work.
  2. Photos may be digital or print. If print, no larger than 8” x 10”. Photos may be black & white or color.
  3. No more than two photos per entrant.
  4. Entrant must be a resident of Bloomfield Township and have a current Bloomfield Township Public Library card.
  5. Photos must relate to the theme of the contest. Photos can be taken anywhere.
  6. Photos must be recently taken between April 1, 2025, and March 15, 2026.
  7. Photos must be original and suitable for public display as determined by the Library.
  8. The entry form and release form(s) must be submitted for each entrant. Release forms must be signed by the entrant (or parent or guardian if entrant is a minor).
  9. The Library’s rights regarding the photograph(s) are stated on the Entrant Release form.
  10. All entries must be submitted by March 15, 2026.
  11. Winners will be announced and honored at a special reception at the Library on Saturday, April 18, 2026.
  12. Photos may be submitted through the Library’s website, dropped off at the Library’s Welcome Desk, or mailed to:
