This spring, we asked teens to use their creative and editing skills to create a new Mod-style book cover for their favorite book. We had 12 amazing submissions that utilized key Mod-inspired design components such as clean, simple lines, geometric influences & a limited color palette.
After reviewing the entries, TAB members selected Reyna N’s book design for Fahrenheit 451 as the 1st place winner. They felt drawn to Reyna’s balanced use of color & geometric graphics and credit the book cover with best exemplifying the Mod-Style design. Congratulations Reyna!
Jared S. is the runner-up for the book cover design of Animal Farm, and it’s easy to see why! This cover broadcasts Mod-style with its elegant design and very simplistic yet bold graphics. Congratulations Jared!
In total, the top 6 entries were considered Finalists and will be featured on a tote bag available for Teens this summer!
Additional Finalists:
The Secret History by Briana S.
The Lightning Thief by Reyna N.
Crave by Helena Z.
The Paris Architect by Vera W.
The first-place winner & runner-up will receive a gift card as well as a bag with the finalist book designs screened upon it. All finalists & participants who submitted entries will receive a bag as well.
A huge thank you goes out to all the teens who participated in creating and sharing their vision of Mod-style in the form of a unique book cover! Each entry was wonderfully unique, and selecting a winner was a difficult decision for the TAB members.
