Check out the list of events and activities we have planned for teens this Summer! All teens age 13-18 are welcome to participate. Click on the links for more information and to register for any programs.
Upcoming events:
- Sign up for Summer Reading on Beanstack! Just for signing up, Teens can select a free book from the Adult & Teen Services desk all summer long. Complete 10 challenges by reading, exploring digital databases, picking up a craft kit, attending a summer event, etc., and receive a free teen book cover bag (created by local teens). Teens will also be entered into drawings for prizes!
- Teen Summer Read – All Summer – Read along with other teens in the community this summer: A Court of Thorns & Roses by Sarah J. Maas or the Nyxia series by Scott Reintgen – multiple copies of books in both series are available at the library. Each book from the series counts as double in your Beanstack summer reading app!
- Summer Reading Kickoff – Tuesday, June 18, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Join us the night of the Summer Reading Kickoff for fun activities at the library! Activities for teens include a library-wide treasure hunt, teen craft kits, & summer reading sign up (participate and receive a FREE teen book!).
- Teen Craft Kit: Iron-on Book Bag – ACOTAR or Space – Tuesday, June 18, 5:00 p.m. Create your own ACOTAR or Space-themed book bag using Iron-on transfers. Available while supplies last.
- Teen Adventure: Outdoor Adventure Scavenger Hunt – Through August 9. Play the Outdoor Adventure Scavenger Hunt from anywhere! Visit our website to access the game. Complete the hunt to be entered into a raffle for a Stanley!
- Tiny Art Craft Kit – Monday, July 1. Create a tiny work of art on a small canvas to display.
- Adventure Duck Hunt – Wednesday, July 10, 3:00 p.m. Join us for the Adventure Duck Hunt! Search inside the library for ducks; find a special duck and win a prize! Kick-off begins promptly at 3:00 p.m. & duck hunt ends at 4:30 p.m. or while supplies last. Limit 3 ducks per person. Prizes are for teens aged 13-18. No registration required.
- Crafting Conversations: Beaded Charm Bracelet Bar – Wednesday, July 24, 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Stop by the library with your friends to gather supplies to create your very own beaded bracelet. Teens are welcome to select beads to take home to make, or, stay and create with other teens! Available beads include multiple colors, letters and charms.
- Adult & Teen Craft Kit: Crocheted Mushroom Stuffie – Monday, July 29 – Crochet a tiny mushroom family with this mushroom plushie stuffed toy tutorial & free crochet pattern. Available while supplies last.
- Last Chance Craft Adventure Kits – Friday, August 9 – Stop by the Adult & Teen Services desk to select your own craft adventure. While supplies last.
