Teen Events

Kits, crafts, games, and a new book club! These activities and events are open to teens (ages 13–18). Click on the links to register. 

Upcoming Events

  • Spice Club Kit. February’s kit contains a sample of epazote, information about the spice, and suggested recipes to try something new. Spice kits are available to Bloomfield Township residents while supplies last; ask at the Adult and Teen Services desk.
  • Adult & Teen Craft Kit: Make a Soap Box Book, Tuesday, February 18. Upcycle to transform a discarded soap box into a lively, kinetic book with accordion-folded pages and a button closure. Kits are available to Bloomfield Township residents while supplies last; ask at the Adult and Teen Services desk.
  • Teen Advisory Board (T.A.B.), Wednesday, March 12, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Attend a T.A.B. meeting to talk books, make arts and crafts, play games, and more. Snacks provided. Registration is required and begins February 12.
  • Adult and Teen Craft Kit: Upcycled Book Sewing Box, Wednesday, March 12. Find new life in an old book when you transform it into a sewing box! After your assembly and decoration, the hardcover book will contain compartments for sewing supplies or any small treasures of your choosing. Kits are available to Bloomfield Township residents while supplies last; ask at the Adult and Teen Services desk.
  • “Fade to Black” Romance/Romantasy Book Club, Friday, March 28, 4–5 p.m. This new book club for teens and adults (ages 16 and up) meets the fourth Friday of each month at 4 p.m. Be prepared to respectfully talk about all kinds of love stories, including those of different cultures, sexual orientations, and romantic tropes! Registration is required and begins January 13. 

Registration is required for most teen events. Bloomfield Township residents have one week of priority registration before registration opens to all. Register online or email askteen@btpl.org.
