Hamra and the Jungle of Memories / Hanna Alkaf

At Hamra’s house in Malaysia during the COVID-19 lockdown, the family is doing the best they can. Hamra is putting on a happy face despite her grandmother’s worsening memory lapses, her mom being stuck at the hospital where she works, and everyone forgetting Hamra’s 13th birthday. Things get even more complicated when Hamra goes into the jungle to run an errand, but she forgets the rules for entering the jungle respectfully.  Those old rules are just superstition…right? An exciting Red-Riding-Hood style adventure for ages 8 and up.
