A heartfelt story told from 2 points of view, in alternating chapters from
- A witty typewriter named Olivetti
- Ernest, a shy 12-year-old boy and one of the kids in the very busy Brindle family
When Mom goes missing, Dad and the 3 Brindle kids search high and low, only to find out 24 hours later that she had sold her beloved typewriter, Olivetti, at the Heartland Pawn Shop for $126….but why? And where would she have gone?
When Olivetti learns Mom has mysteriously gone missing, he believes he can help find her. He is willing to break the only rule of his ‘kind’ by revealing the past stories shared/typed on him. He types back to Ernest, who must face what he and his family have been avoiding…the Everything That Happened.
